Pictured at the left: The Davis Family House, built in the early 1800's, actual age unknown, the now owner stated that the Davis house was built almost 200 years ago and used during the Civil War to care for Soldiers that had been wounded. House Location: Old Davis Farm, Sequatchie County, Tennessee. Joseph Davis born Nov. 26, 1803, died Sept. 6, 1882, his wives ... Elizabeth Heard Davis, b. April 1, 1808, d. Feb. 26, 1858, and his 2nd wife, Nancy Heard Davis, b. 1830, d. Aug. 1933, their graves are not far from this house in Davis Chapel Cemetery. |
