Note: In researching the Grant Family, I have come across several names for the wife of Perez Grant. I am not sure if some of these names are nick-names or if her full name was all of the names found. All in variations of spelling and in different orders, sometimes just the use of any one of these names. They are: Eleanor Clover Mary Jane (Drew) Grant. In the 1870 US Census, District # 7, Sequatchie, TN, lists her as Mary Grant, Widowed.

Hear-say" from our local Story Tellers in the area ~ the Elderly Patriarchs stated that these folks are buried at the Grant Homestead. (No Documentation found for these burials)

Mr. Cordell stated that these graves were the graves of Perez “Perry” Grant and his son, Nathan Grant, from the mid 1800's.


Look very close! These are either 2 gravesites with foot markers or 4 graves. These graves are to the right of the Grant Family homestead. Visit the Grant Homestead Here

Nathaniel Grant (son of Perez Grant), born 1848 Marion (Now Sequatchie) Co., TN, died about 1854, Marion (Now Sequatchie)County, TN
