The Maybry house was built about 1845 by Jones Mabry who had come from Iredell County, North Carolina, to settle in the Sequatchie Valley. House is located just off East Valley Road in what used to be Walnut Valley, now the Chapel Hill area. The Mabry House has been scheduled for demolition in the near future . |

JONES2 MABRY (Son of ABEL MAYBRY and MARY BARKER) was born June 05, 1826 in Iredell County, North Carolina, and died November 06, 1912 in Sequatchie County, Tennessee. He married ELIZABETH EASTERLY September 13, 1855 in Marion County, Tennessee, daughter of MOSES EASTERLY and CHARLOTTE FUDGE. She was born May 22, 1834 in Marion County, Tennessee, and died September 05, 1911 in Sequatchie County, Tennessee. Jones and Elizabeth Easterly Mabry are buried in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Sequatchie County, Tennessee.
