HOODENPYLE CEMETERY
This is a private family cemetery limited to descendants of Thomas Jefferson Hoodenpyle Jr.
It is located approximately one mile above the Sequatchie/Marion County line on New Hope
Loop Road off East Valley Road.

HOODENPYLE CEMETERY II
This cemetery is on private land. It was once used as a church meeting ground.
While there are several graves marked with rocks only two have stones.

Notes on HOODENPYLE CEMETERY and HOODENPYLE CEMETERY II
All persons buried in these two cemeteries are related except for Laelar
Griffith. Hoodenpyle is spelled both with and without a final E.
T. J. Hoodenpyl (Thomas Jefferson Hoodenpyl(e) Sr) 1806-1878 is the husband of
Sarah (Whitlock) Hoodenpyle died 1857.
    Their children were:
    Phillip 1823-1843 (buried with mother, Sarah)
    John Whitlock (moved to Oregon)
    Thomas Jefferson Jr (buried in HOODENPYLE CEMETERY as Thomas J.)
    Martha (married and moved to Kentucky)
    Sarah  (buried in HOODENPYLE CEMETERY as Sarah H. Dill)
children of Thomas J. Hoodenpyl(e) and Rhodea E. (Russell) were
    Adelia Louverna ( buried elsewhere)
    William  (buried in HOODENPYLE CEMETERY as W. M.)
