1845-Day Dresses. This style is suitable for the years 1840-1853, and should be worn over a 90 inch circumference corded petticoat or several petticoats rather than a hoop. Pictured is over a 4-boned hoop. View A has a gathered Fan Front bodice, with a fitted lining and a smooth back. View B has a fitted front. (see photo below). Dress is narrow at the waist and widening out to the shoulders. The bodice is fitted in the front with seam from shoulder to front waist, instead of darts. Waistline is slightly lower than the natural waist but can be raised if desired. It also has a side, side back, and back seams for a closer. The waistline sits directly on the waistline, with a deep point in the front. The full skirt is attached to the bodice on the inside of the bodice. The closure is in the center back, with hooks and eyes. The narrow 2-piece sleeve can also be headed with an optional sleeve cap. Please Let me know if you are planning on using a 4-boned hoop. Pricing depends on your custom choices. |
